MOLLY’S GAME is based on the true story of Molly Bloom, an Olympic-class skier who ran the world's most exclusive high-stakes poker game for a decade before being arrested in the middle of the night by 17 FBI agents wielding automatic weapons. Her players included Hollywood royalty, sports stars, business titans and finally, unbeknownst to her, the Russian mob. Her only ally was her criminal defense lawyer Charlie Jaffey, who learned that there was much more to Molly than the tabloids led us to believe.

Love Jessica Chastine. Love strong female lead. Like the story telling tempo, multiple timeline unfolding structure. Cried twice: the father daughter scene and the very last scene. Only two downside: 1) the lawyer conversations(power play) at the 1st half part feels a little long. 2) the 2nd half has no climax about the FBI raid, too fast and too sudden with no build up. Wish more scenes there.

I found the movie excellent. When I first saw the trailer, I thought it would be a drama through and through, but there was wit and humor well-integrated as well. The cuts, from the flashbacks to the present, were very seamless and didn't get confusing. The performances were superb.

This movie was absolutely awesome! Beyond awesome. Superb writing, incredible directing and a cast of brilliant of actors. The chemistry between Elba and Chastain, was incredible - the banter is just so well written Sorkin is a genius.Thank you so much for the opportunity to attend this event.
