I liked the use of various artistic styles throughout the movie. My girlfriends favorite part was the sock puppets! It was suitable for all ages of the audience with nothing being too over the line or crazy. The characters served as good narrators without taking too much of the screen time away from the actual story

The frenetic pace became a nuisance after a while and I wish the film took a moment to breathe. Also some of the jokes fall flat. But other than that, I really enjoyed it. The animation is stunning, voice work is great, and it stays true to Dav Pilkey's books.

The movie was very enjoyable. It could easily relate to adults and children. It was funny, imaginative and a fun experience for the kids. My 7 year daughter sat in her chair with a smile from ear to ear for the most of the movie. The epic Tra-la-la is still being sung throughout the house.
