This was a powerful human movie.. a movie one can relate to involving realistic situations that can happen to everyday people. Brilliantly done and maintained humour, yet year jerker.

I, Karyn Dwyer wept openly, laughed from my gut, broke out in cheers. At points I bit my hands to stay silent so other people's experience would not be ruined. No shame in that. By the end I heard the others weeping. Catharsis. Applause. Cut to my heart. Thank you YWCA for the tickets. A real Breakthrough! I recommend it wholeheartedly.

A polemic film almost that captures and conveys the hardships of individuals and families in a kind of Britain of blokes and lasses who call each other "pet", who would be kinder to each other because of the common miseries of commoners seeking welfare, pushed to the edges and unsoftened by them, yet nevertheless ready and willing to refuse certain erasure by a system and by a State ...

Strong movie. Passionate, painful and soooo real! We could feel the every second that it can be any bodies life.

I really enjoyed the movie. It reminds me that it doesn't take much to be a good person and one person can make a difference.

Powerful movie, excellent acting, had me crying several times. And I didn't need the sub-titles!
