Cake is based on a Black List script by Patrick Tobin. In her strongest and most challenging role to date, Jennifer Aniston stars as the acerbic and hilarious Claire Simmons, who becomes fascinated by the suicide of Nina (Anna Kendrick), a woman in her chronic pain support group. As she uncovers the details of Nina's suicide and develops a poignant relationship with Nina's husband (Sam Worthington), Claire also grapples with her own very raw personal tragedy.

Jennifer was awesome!
I love Jennifer Aniston in any movie but to see her play this role was so different as a movie viewer! She was amazing! The movie was amazing! #1snubbed
Best film of Aniston's career. I think the male actors were too good looking so it felt less realistic. But all in all good film. Tear jerker.
Wow, that was a tough bunch of subjects to put into a lighthearted movie. Death Pain Suffering drug addiction suicidal depression, mixed up into a complete cake of a movie.
Deserves an Oscar. Great performance.Interesting.
Jennifer Aniston was excellent as the lead. The movie was a bit slow, but on the whole very good.
Great storytelling... Aniston's pain is palpable!
