Scocessi always makes amazing films. It was a very well made film. Attention to details and culturally correct. They used Japanese actors for Japanese roles and was very authentic. It was surprise to see one of my old friend whom I haven't seen in about three decades were in the film. Hope he gets nominated for an Academy Award supporting role.

Great movie. It deserves Oscar attention.

There's a shot where the camera pans across the bars of a cell wall and stops at the end between two bars. It lasts maybe a few seconds but if the entire film was those few seconds it would be worth seeing. As it happens, there are almost three hours of additional gems.
