Great release just before Remembrance Day
A clear Oscar contender. A lateral approach to the events that pays off with stunning performances and a total lack of American triumphalism.
Great
It's a very dark topic but it was done so well
The performance by Russell Crowe was amazing. As soon as Crowe emerges on the scene, he holds your attention rapt. There is no one else in that space. He embodied what you think Goring would have been like. Good screenplay. Malek & Slattery were very good as well.
There are parts of this movie that are really hard to watch. Given the nature of the subject that is only to be expected though. I came out of the movie thinking how scarily close we are to this sort of power hungry politicians taking over. \r\rThis is a movie that needs to be watched. Highly recommended.
Very powerful movie, dark history but managed a few light moments to laugh. Went by surprisingly quickly for a long movie with a heavy subject. The last few minutes of the movie point directly at current politics and the possibility or repeating the past.
