An authentic portrait of female resilience in the 'New West' inspired and played by the women and girls who live it. Set in the Badlands of South Dakota, Tabatha, a young, rebellious rancher, who rescues and resells horses, must make hard decisions to deal with her fractured family, financial uncertainty, and unresolved grief, all while providing refuge for a group of wayward neighborhood teens.

It was a surprise that the actors names were actually their names. So humbling and a thoughtful movie. Very light and deep movie. It’s a real type of living and journey that happens. It was wonderful.
It is a really good drama movie. It is heartfelt and a good story line.
I stayed away from reading reviews prior to the screening, but heard mix feedback from sources online despite this movie being the winner of a massive Sundance award. I was pleasantly surprised, the movie started with a lot of music and energy, and about half way through began shifting into and beautifully quiet movie. The performances were solid. Impressive drone shots of the dreamy landscape
One of the most well-cast movies I've ever seen. Every actor was 100% realistic in their performance, and it was as if I was just standing next to them during real life events. The direction and the camera work were the kind that creates an entire world that enveloped you. From the brief insert shots of an animal or object in this environment, to the long takes of dramatic scenes. All perfect.
Beautiful sceneries, great music and an interesting side you don't see often of the Western.
Went with my 14 year old daughter and we both really enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend it
Beautiful backdrop of Badlands. Story shows challenges faced & character working thru personal issues. Good ending.
