This was an important story to be told.

what a wonderful movie...the period piece history setting...how it was so hard to be what society expected of you instead of being who you really are and being accepted as you are

The movie is a welcome addition to LGBTQ-centered movies. I found the character development of Julius was a little lacking, but overall the message was portrayed. The open ended denouement left much to be desired, but the internal struggles and dilemmas that took place throughout the movie created depth in the plotline. Overall I had a decent viewing experience.
