Deserves the Oscar!
Wonderful film. Worth all the hype and the Oscar nominations.
Amazing film!
Brilliantly done! It deserves all the accolades the film is receiving.
Masterpiece
I was invited by a friend to watch it and was curious about all the fuzz that's going on about it. I'm not Brazilian, but I left the session very moved... what a movie! I really need to know more about Fernanda Torres, which was the soul and heart of this film. Everything is so nostalgic, simple and kind. Eunice is my hero now, such a strong and incredible woman! Really recommend this film.
This is a remarkable movie. You don't notice how and when the emotions ramp up until it suddenly hits you and brings you to tears. The cast members' sensitive acting, and especially Fernanda's exceptional performance, is what builds it all up bit by bit. It is evident the director's talent to conduct his cast and the cinematography in favor of the story and its characters. It's worth every frame.
