Incredible performances

An important piece of history. Shows in so many ways how corrupt America is in very simplistic terms. Trigger warning: sexual assault- it was pretty upsetting. Lots of blatant homophobia. But it’s a portrait of the American elite. Beautifully shot. Cinematography, design, costumes and makeup were fantastic.

Sebastian Stan and Jeremy Strong continue their complex character streak. This biopic was brutally absurd at times that you feel being stuck in this capitalistic nightmare.\r\rThe transition from film, to video tape, and camcorders was a nice touch for the film’s overall look. Really surprised that this movie actually works. Also could not help but feel the Succession vibes.

Stan impressively portrays Trump without slipping into satire, nailing his mannerisms, speech patterns, and signature gestures. Strong’s haunting portrayal of Roy Cohn highlights his tragic downfall as Trump rises. Bakalova’s Ivana Trump humanizes him early on, but is ultimately discarded. The retro cinematography and soundtrack enhance the film’s authentic feel, immersing viewers in the era.

I learned so much about Donald Trump!

Great actors, good play, interesting movie

it blew my mind. i didnt know about trumps past till now. And his upbringing as an adult was shocking.

First off I'd like to rate this at about a 2.5 to 2.75 but I can't give a partial star.\rThat said this movie was okay. Didn't reveal anything that I personally wasn't already aware of.\rJeremy Strong was good as Roy Cohn. \rSebastian Stan was alright as Donald Trump. Didn't quite nail it but acceptable.\rIf this hadn't been free, there's no way I'd have paid to see it. \rBest to watch it at home.
