New York in the 1920s. Max Perkins, a literary editor is the first to sign such subsequent literary greats as Ernest Hemingway and F. Scott Fitzgerald. When a sprawling, chaotic 1,000-page manuscript by an unknown writer falls into his hands, Perkins is convinced he has discovered a literary genius.

We enjoyed the story of both Max Perkins and Thomas Wolfe and the relationship between them. Time period was very well done and the actors did an Oscar worthy nomination for both Jude Law and Colon Firth.
I really enjoyed the movie a lot especially since, I usually only read non fictional books and this movie was all about writers, fictional writers such as Ernest Hemingway and F. Scott Fitzgerald, who both (I must say) played a very significant role in the movie Genius. The story about a book man Perkins, who was also a friend Ernest Hemingway and F. Scott Fitzgerald. After watching this movie,
Good acting. Interesting coz based on true story. Some deep underlying themes.
i really enjoyed the movie.
A bit slow. Would have added the images of the characters he wrote about on screen. Good actors.
Slower paced movie with strong character performances.
Started out with a bang but fizzled out. Almost left about 3/4 of way through because it dragged and I thought "what's the point?" Nicole Kidman was fantastic but Laura Linney underused! She is a fabulous actress. Why didn't she have anythtng to do?
