A sharp-witted idealist makes a wish so powerful that it is answered by a cosmic force—a little ball of boundless energy called Star. Together, Asha and Star confront a most formidable foe—the ruler of Rosas, King Magnifico—to save her community and prove that when the will of one courageous human connects with the magic of the stars, wondrous things can happen.

WISH was a perfect example of Disney done well. Funny, heart-warming, with catchy songs and plenty of Easter eggs to celebrate Disney Studios 100th year anniversary. \rStar is adorable. Chris Pine as King Magnifico is diabolically delicious as the Maleficent-esque villain. This is a worthy entry in Disney's 100 year legacy \rA perfect movie for kids, or adults who are kids at heart.
It’s a cute and funny kids movie.

Though aiming to emulate the storyboard aesthetic we all know and love, "wish" fails to deliver with an animation style that feels lazy and like a big step back for Disney Animation. The songs are brilliant, but the writing overall is formulaic and does nothing to push the genre forward.
