The Detour comes to TBS this spring from comedic super-couple Jason Jones & Samantha Bee. This what-the-hell-is-wrong-with-this-family comedy follows the not so simple trip of an unfiltered dad (Jones), his hot wife (Natalie Zea), and their rebellious daughter and simpleton son. What was supposed to be the adventure of a lifetime is quickly fraught with unforeseen disaster as they encounter one hellish turn after another. From strippers, drugs, and mail-order brides – you name it; this family plows straight into it!

The Detour two episode premiere was great! It was hilariously funny, and reminded me of the movie Meet the Millers. While I loved it, I think the 9pm TBS timeslot on Monday's is a little early for it. While the humor was terrific, it wasn't very appropriate for kids (lets just say Banana Creamery isn't an ice cream parlor). I can't wait to watch this premiere on Monday!

I thought both episodes were hilarious. It documented everything that could go wrong in a comedic way. Also, it touched on real life becoming of age issues. For example, the little girl starting her cycle to the "sex talk." I will continue to watch the show and tell friends to watch the show as well.
