Excellent movie.Ralph Finnes acting was superb- what a change from acting as Mr. M. in the recent James Bond movie- really versatile. One of the better movies I have seen in a while. I would give it 6 out of 5 stars !

Interesting remake with old fashioned Eurofilm pacing. A lot left to be desired though, as some plot twists in Act 3 serve little to no purpose. E.g.: why reveal Penelope's ability to speak Italian? It served her no gain. Why not show any sign of Paul's guilt when a) he arrives back to dinner after hiking/sleeping with Penelope; or b) he's had too much to drink prior to Harry's death?
