A thoroughly cinematic drama, Elvis’s (Butler) story is seen through the prism of his complicated relationship with his enigmatic manager, Colonel Tom Parker (Hanks). As told by Parker, the film delves into the complex dynamic between the two spanning over 20 years, from Presley’s rise to fame to his unprecedented stardom, against the backdrop of the evolving cultural landscape and loss of innocence in America. Central to that journey is one of the significant and influential people in Elvis’s life, Priscilla Presley (Olivia DeJonge).

A Lonely Legend who was taken advantage of by his manager. Have always loved his music and contributions to music history.
A great take on his story, fame and the entertainment business. Gave me Great Gatsby vibes. Longer run time than I thought but I didn't notice because I was brought into Elvis' universe, just a reach away from eternity.
A visually-beautiful, heartbreaking love story from the perspective of Colonel Tom Parker. My hope and expectation is that this film will spawn a new generation of Elvis fans.
A big Elvis fan - have worked with a guest\rduring Elvis Week 2012 doing promo and media bookings. Here in Nashville we worked on a big tribute show for Elvis.in 2008.Several friends and I are planning to see it a second time maybe in a couple weeks. So much to see I'm sure I missed some things. .Austin Butler was outstanding! I'm sure he will be nominated for Oscar and Golden Globe. Thanks!\r\r\r\r\r
Absolutely phenomenal! I loved that it covered all his life from beginning to end. It was nice the movie focused on the good times rather than the drugs and affairs. I want to see it again!
It was phenomenal! …It was a daunting task, but Austin Butler seamlessly channeled that indescribable magic of the charisma, energy, unmatched talent, and even the heaviness of all Elvis carried on his shoulders. Baz Luhrm delivered a beautiful work of art that can resonate with audiences of all ages.
A fantastic and authentic portrayal of both Elvis and Tom Parker. Baz Luhrmann creates a spectacular production w/ storytelling and music.
