To show support for his neighborhood friends serving in Vietnam, Chickie Donohue (Zac Efron) decides to do something totally outrageous: travel to the frontline by himself to bring the soldiers a little piece of home – their favorite can of American beer. However, what started as a well-meaning journey quickly turns into the adventure of a lifetime as Chickie confronts the reality of his controversial war and his reunions with the childhood buddies thrust him into the complexities and responsibilities of adulthood. Based on an incredible true story, “The Greatest Beer Run Ever” is a heartfelt coming-of-age tale about friendship, loyalty, and sacrifice.

Heartwarming yet charming. Funny too!
Quite moving. Expected just a funny goofy movie but that was not the case! I felt all the emotions with this movie. Quite compelling abd the fact it’s based on a true story was so amazing.
Absolutely fantastic! Well written and well acted, An intense portrayal of the complexities and horrors of war.
Based on a true story about the Vietnam war, this movie shows the comraderie and strong friendship between friends, turned soldiers. It powerfully depicts how being inside a war zone can change an individual in ways the rest of the nation/world will never know, a reality check. Pwerful action, insightful drama, so powerful. Highly recommend
Great movie...moving and detailed story. Very well made.
Amazing story. Relflects perfectly how people are in general, giving their opinion without knowledge. Only traveling and/or research can enlighten people.
