Written and directed by Academy Award nominee Kenneth Branagh, Belfast is a poignant story of love, laughter and loss in one boy’s childhood, amid the music and social tumult of the late 1960s. The cast stars Golden Globe nominee Caitriona Balfe, Academy Award winner Judi Dench, Jamie Dornan, Ciaran Hinds, and introduces 10 year old Jude Hill. Dornan and Balfe play a passionate working-class couple caught up in the mayhem, with Dench and Hinds as sharp-witted grandparents.

Captured the time and impact on the families in Belfast.touching story of the boys relationship with his grandparents and his first love
Amazing show had me in tears and warmed my heart. Such an important story to tell. The acting was superb. The filming was so well done, the close up shots, the angles. I can’t stop thinking and talking about this movie.
An honest and personal portrayal by the director and performed by a truly talented cast
Good mix of history, religion, and comedy.
It was best described in one word...precious. I loved it.
Loved the realistic, slice of life quality of the story, and the comic elements along with serious topics.
