The phone is dead. And it’s ringing.
Director Scott Derrickson returns to his terror roots and partners again with the foremost brand in the genre, Blumhouse, with a new horror thriller.
Finney Shaw, a shy but clever 13-year-old boy, is abducted by a sadistic killer and trapped in a soundproof basement where screaming is of little use. When a disconnected phone on the wall begins to ring, Finney discovers that he can hear the voices of the killer’s previous victims. And they are dead set on making sure that what happened to them doesn’t happen to Finney.
Starring four-time Oscar® nominee Ethan Hawke in the most terrifying role of his career and introducing Mason Thames in his first ever film role, The Black Phone is produced, directed, and co-written by Scott Derrickson, the writer-director of Sinister, The Exorcism of Emily Rose and Marvel’s Doctor Strange.

A must see keep you on the edge movie but had a great meaning behind the story I would recommend this I’ll give a 5 stars
Great movie with plenty of suspense it kept my attention. It's a must see movie
It was a good thriller movie
A must see!!! It’s scary, suspenseful, funny and unpredictable. Best movie I’ve seen in a long time!!!
Classic horror is back in this 1970's thriller! The story itself is simplistic yet very thought out by how Finny is giving clues to try to escape. Although Ethan Hawke is the popular name in this movie, the clear star is Masan Themes because of his outstanding acting. I also enjoyed the mention of another classic horror movie "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre."
Amazing cinematography and incredible plotline
Black phone is a well shot movie. The detail and the symbolism was great. The pace of the movie was perfect. All of the characters were fully developed and played a piece in the puzzle. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie.

What a movie! Grabbed my attention from the moment it started. I was scared it was going to be a heavy movie similar to Lovely Bones - however the added comedy for levity and you just couldn’t stop routing for the the characters.
