Limbo is a wry and poignant observation of the refugee experience, set on a fictional remote Scottish island where a group of new arrivals await the results of their asylum claims. It centers on Omar (Amir El-Masry), a young Syrian musician who is burdened by his grandfather’s oud, which he has carried all the way from his homeland.

Loved it a second time!!!
Thoughtful approach to a hot topic, good script, directing, and acting. Great images: perfectly in tune with the mood of the characters.
Powerful movie!
"Limbo" is a lyrical story highlighting the transformative power of music and memory. This beautiful, meditative film includes sure-footed direction, compelling performances by its lead and others, and a striking setting in Scotland's windswept Uist islands.
Touching movie with a message if even very sweet though not always reality. I loved the characters, music at the end and scenery.
Liked it very much. Very atmospheric. Gave a sense of the Scottish winter and isolation.
A wonderful movie on the plight of refugees and what they have to go through
