Slyvie’s Love was a beautiful nostalgic love story ... Awesome to see Black Love on display in this fashion! Love the music and clothes —Tessa Thompson and Nnamdi were extraordinary!!

The movie was excellent, and very well scripted. I enjoyed every bit!

I enjoyed it. I loved the music, story, the era! I just wish I could have watched it on my big screen TV. Couldn’t figure out how to make it happen. Wish I could have viewed it through Prime Video. I would recommend it to others

Beautifully written love story with an incredibly genuine appeal that will bring real tears to those who understand the missed heartbeat of the one who got away. The actors were authentic - cinematography was wonderfully crafted - overall amazing story.

What a wonderful love story of an African American couple both conflicted between choosing love or their passions and ambitions! Both actors did such an excellent job. I could feel the love and passion for each other as well as the torment from each character faced in choosing and being selfless/selfish in their choices. As in all romances I loved the ending in how Ron ended up in the same job and yet ended where he was when he and Sylvie first met. Such a sweet ending...aaaahhh!!!

I love period pieces and it's a wonderful jazz story. It also showcases black women as entrepreneurs and business women, something that is rarely seen in that time period, or any for that matter. I also loved the familial relationships of whole families and happy black people. \r\rThe cinematography was gorgeous, wardrobe was on point, and although there were moments that looked very staged, it still had an authentic feel to it. And the music was lovely.
