Adam (Charlie Plummer), who appears to be your typical young adult – a little unkempt with raging hormones and excited about a future pursuing his dream of becoming a chef. Expelled halfway through his senior year, Adam is diagnosed with a mental illness that he keeps a secret at his new school. Living in constant fear of being exposed, Adam finds a soulful, comforting connection in Maya (Taylor Russell), an outspoken and fiercely intelligent girl who inspires him to open his heart and not be defined by his condition. With the love and support of his newfound romance and family, Adam is hopeful for the very first time that he can see the light and triumph over the challenges that lie ahead.

Really amazing film to get you emotional and to open your eyes to see a different point of view than most people.
I thought it was very compelling, it kept my attention the whole time, and it was such a good portrayal of what it is like to try to live a normal life with a mental illness.
I really liked that it took a very disturbing illness and tried to make it feel ok for the person with it.
Great feel good movie that brings light to the challenges and obstacles people have to overcome!

Really great film overall. \rSo often mental illness is looked over or portrayed negatively onscreen, so this was a very visual way to bring the viewer into the shoes of someone who is coping with controlling their illness and not letting it control them.\rLiked the supporting characters a lot, the father/son relationship was VERY heartwarming and I honestly broke down in tears at the letter scene.
I really enjoyed it just wish I could have pulled it up on my tv. I tried mirroring it thru air\rPlay and that didn’t work, then I went to the Internet on the tv and that didn’t work either. Other than that it was hard to watch on my phone but I loved the movie
