Understood and was interested in the whole movie unlike other Woody Allen movies where there's too much dialogue that were confusing. This movie had good dialogue and characters. Good twist in story and ironic ending which was overall a very good experience.

I found it lighthearted, informative, provocative and it was so well written that I had poised myself with some existential qualms following the viewing. Woody Allen has definitely outdone himself, and it was well casted Joaquin Phoenix as well as Emma Stone were marvelous.Thanks GoFoBo and cineplex for making another date night a great night ;)

Good short story...

I really liked it! It was fun and unexpected

I thought that it was a typical Woody Allen movie: not one of his worst, but not one of his best. Stone's performance was spot on, but the movie felt a bit slow to start. It did get better, though. I wish that it dealt with the philosophers mentioned more than the surface level, but the existentialist name-dropping seemed to be style more than substance, not unlike Phoenix's character's writing.

entertaining but a little slow

I love Woody Allen and his quirky, brilliant brand of humor, but this film delved a little too much onto the dark side and lacked the typical Woody Allen charm I usually enjoy.That being said, wonderful performance and situations, as Woody always delivers mature, sophisticated films and is a living legend that continue to astound the world with his talents in his golden years.
