MAHOGANY was Ross’ follow up to her acclaimed film debut in the Billie Holiday biopic Lady Sings The Blues, for which she earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress in a Leading Role. This dramatic love story filmed in Chicago and Rome also stars Billy Dee Williams, her electric co-star in Lady Sings The Blues, as the Chicago politician who falls in love with her. Anthony Perkins is at his best portraying a malevolent fashion photographer who masterminds, then tries to sabotage Mahogany’s career. The film received an Oscar® nomination for Best Music, Original Song for “Theme from Mahogany (Do You Know Where You’re Going To?),” which also became a #1 hit.

Good movie
Outstanding performance by Nicole Kidman! Worth watching again!
Great plot that kept one engaged for the entire movie.
Classic mystery tension reminiscent of Hitchcock narrative. The film effortlessly boils up a twisted brew of family turmoil spilling over a colorful setting. You are left gripping at the edge of your seat in suspense and anticipation. A well executed modern day mystery masterpiece! Bravo!
Very suspense full murder mystery loved it! The story line kept you on the edge of your seat! At the end of the movie it kept me wondering if there will be another one and what happened to the characters I would recommend the movie and see it again!
Loved every minute!
Holland kept me on the edge of my seat. The plot twist were perfectly placed into the storyline. There are still some questions I need answers to, but Iām excited to watch again to see if I missed any details. Thank you again for the invite!

I enjoyed the movie. There was a good bit of suspense throughout and the acting was done really well. The movie itself was unique and the plot twists were compelling.
