The disappearance of a young Cree woman named SUZANNE BIRD triggers events in two worlds: the remote Northern Ontario town she fled years ago, and the big city where she became a successful model. This is a powerful movie. The scenery is spectacular. The performances are engaging. The story line held my attention. The film is based on a book with the same name by Joseph Boyden. I commend Tina Keeper for bringing this project to life. Don McKellar did a superb job as director.
