We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam, courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart, Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil.

The movie did so much well. It was a great place for a casual movie goer to start while still paying many respects to people who know the source material. The movie had so many clear highlights and the stand out was the humor and chemistry between the characters. It was a great experience and DC has a new franchise that’s ready to be deeply explored. This movie is beyond good, it brought me back to my childhood days when I wished I was a superhero. As busy as I was the day of the screening with midterm exams coming in the next few days, I decided to take a break from adulthood and decided to attend the screening. Let me tell you, it was a great choice I made that day! Movie is filled with excitement, action and it's beyond funny.

Shazam! is a celebration of a superhero finding his family and himself. It makes you laugh throughout with both the obvious jokes and subtle inside jokes. Kids from age 0 to 100 or more will enjoy it and relate to it. Everyone who loves superheroes will love it!
