Beautifully written, shot and performed. One of those rare remakes or reinterpretations of a classic that actually surpasses its predecessor(s). I imagine it was a very large bite to chew for director Bradley Cooper but you'd never know it watching this impeccably paced mix between dark and light, music and silence, humor and pathos.

Oscar worthy performances from everyone. A few scenes did drag. The music was phenomenal looking forward to the album dropping. I’ve seen the Judy Garland version on TCM recently and this was just so much better. Can’t wait to see this version again when it open in the theaters.

A stunning directorial debut from Bradley Cooper, whose direction gives the film a musicality of its own. Every decision made by Cooper only elevates the incredible story and its wonderful characters. Five star quality acting from Lady Gaga as well, who nails every scene she is in from the very beginning. But it is Cooper's performance as Jackson that truly makes the film shine. A must see.
