WOMAN IN GOLD is the remarkable true story of one woman's journey to reclaim her heritage and seek justice for what happened to her family. Sixty years after she fled Vienna during World War II, an elderly Jewish woman, Maria Altmann (Helen Mirren), starts her journey to retrieve family possessions seized by the Nazis, among them Klimt's famous painting Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I. Together with her inexperienced but plucky young lawyer Randy Schoenberg (Ryan Reynolds), she embarks upon a major battle which takes them all the way to the heart of the Austrian establishment and the U.S. Supreme Court, and forces her to confront difficult truths about the past along the way.

Well done!
Excellent movie!
Very well done how it portrayed the link between the horrors of the holocaust and modern day life of an American who just happened to escape. It pulled in all my emotions of competition (they need to win), suspense (will they win?), family love and not giving in which is what the Jews were criticized for against the Nazis. Great acting by Helen and Ryan.
Excellent cast and a fine "bringing to life" of a true story.
Excellent film! Made me laugh a bit and cry as well! This deserves some award nods but will likely be forgotten at awards time since it came out so early in the year. That's a shame. Really, REALLY GOOD!
Excellent story, great acting and beautiful scenery. I didn't know this history and admire the work of Klimt. I highly recommend.
I found the movie to be interesting, acted well and beautifully filmed.
