Watched the first 3 episodes, and I gotta say the other reviews are very over dramatic. Similar to our main character. Yes the show is somewhat adult, but it talks about real issues that your modern middle schooler will face. I would greatly advise if you're going to sit and watch this as a family you do so with your kids when they are target age group, that being 11-13 years old. Also this show offers great representation to my fellow Hispanic and colored community. Even if the dialogue at times can be somewhat dorky, the show is fine, it's nowhere not the level of The Color of Friendship or even Girl Meets World, but it's fine; it's harmless and relevant.
