After David Kim (John Cho)’s 16-year-old daughter goes missing, a local investigation is opened and a detective is assigned to the case. But 37 hours later and without a single lead, David decides to search the one place no one has looked yet, where all secrets are kept today: his daughter’s laptop. In a hyper-modern thriller told via the technology devices we use every day to communicate, David must trace his daughter’s digital footprints before she disappears forever.

I am still thinking about it. I will be watching it again. Fan-tastic. From concept to post production, every detail mattered, and it shows.

It was a different type of movie. Very innovative with the camera work and how they used laptops to portray the movie. The plot twists got me each time and I was not expecting them.

This movie has started a new genre. Viewed Media. I loved the suspense and the constant roller coaster of emotions. It flowed well and the sense of real life made it that much more enjoyable. Hands down one of my new favorite movies.

Searching is a groundbreaking achievement in the found footage genre by the way its screencasting narrative crossbreeds with a filmic score.John Cho's portrayal of a broken father attempting to rescue his missing daughter plays so homey, that the film jumping around any missing person film trope of being straightforward/conspiracy-laden, kidnapping/runaway, or found alive/dead/never feels like an acceptable outcome for cinema's sake. This drama/mystery stands as my favorite movie of the year.

It was very well made and kept the audience on edge. As a parent, it was way too much for me to take in after having been through a recent scare with my own young adult child. Under these circumstances the film did stress me out too much but that doesn't mean the movie was bad. It's a must-see eye-opener for parents who have never been through that horror. Everything about the movie was perfect until the end. The ending felt rushed and needed to be developed more to merit a 5 star rating.

At first I thought it was a documentary, there is nothing wrong with that I like documentaries. These movie was great it is not easy for a child of any age to deal with the last of a parent and not beenable to grieve with her father and him thinking that everything is fine going through the emotions. It is very important to have a open communication with each member of our family when there is lost or anything that may affect our life in any way. I enjoy it and will see it again when it’s out ,
