I think this movie is a great film for a first time future film, Dav Patel made a gorgeous, looking film, but not only that also showing his star power is charisma his strength, the man said look if they won’t put me in it I’ll get it made and that’s what he did with this film. It reminded me of a bland of kill Bill meet cowboy bot at least spikes story, the ending tells you a lot it’s his story

monkey man (2024).. a fusion between adrenaline and grit to create something new. a film permeated with religious symbolism through it’s cinematography and fight choreography. dev patel tells a story, his story. a story about his culture and country, through his artistic lens..

Really solid action movie with a lot on its mind. Mostly successful but there are a few symptoms of its disjointed production that show through. Still a great directorial debut for Patel, I hope he gets the opportunity to direct again. Satisfying ending makes up for trading in the occasional action movie cliches.

Tantalizing and carefully-coordinated stunt choreography that left viewers gripping the edge of their seat. Some humorous moments sprinkled in effectively. Plot-wise, it does draw many parallels to the John Wick franchise (while daring to make a John Wick reference during one of the scenes).
