It was an excellent adaptation, entertaining to parents and kids alike. I grew up with the book and was so excited to see it come to life on the big screen. It is apparent that Judy Blume was involved, because the casting was spot on. I also loved all of the costume and music choices.

Simple but very touching movie about life. It evokes warm memories about teenage years, all the experiences which back then seemed very tragic, but now you can remember them with a smile and warmth and slight sadness. Very good family movie. I would recommend it!
