The story is reworked into the modern day, but with really disappointing execution. The direction felt minimal and lackluster. The writing had lots of problems. Mainly with the dialogue, story structure, and pacing. The acting is just barely tolerable, and likely had next to no help from the director. The biggest disappointment was with the cinematography. There was very little consistency and almost every shot felt somewhat sloppy in its execution. The editing follows in this regard, which also felt just too bumpy.

Intense drama, complex social issues, subtitles moved fast at times

It was too hard to follow.. The characters were all too bitter.

Made me stand in line for hours with a wrist band and still couldn't get in waste of time
