It was heart-warming in many places, but also dealt with the sadness caused by lack of good communication and lack of self-confidence. I was relieved that it had a relatively happy ending. \r

I love a good romance that feels authentic and a complex lead female character. Sylvie’s journey was especially interesting given the time period. The musical backdrop added beauty and levity.

Good old fashioned story line.
