Seemed very slow moving, but I enjoyed the acting and the build up of the love story. Could feel their attraction \r\rLoved the costumes and seeing New York Jazz scene in 1960's\r\rAlso enjoyed seeing a movie with people of color that was not violent or characters were not impoverished.

Moving story-line. Excellent acting. Great escape from current life!

Sylvia seemed a tad “spoiled” in her reaction to a new romantic interest while engaged. Then keeping the resulting pregnancy from the “love of her life” to assuage her mother’s preference that she marry well.-controversial! Very interesting plot to the background of a poignant 1960’s era soundtrack.
