I thought the movie was cute and super relatable. Even though, I am no longer a teenager, I could remember every time I had to endure the same type of embarrassing and heartbreaking scenarios. I also thought it was genius that the movie did not span across a long period of time. This emphasized the dramatic thinking of a teenager and how events that seem insignificant to adults, are life-changing for hormonal adolescents. I only wish the ending wasn't so quick and that the many issues of the narrator were "magically resolved" though the power of positive thinking, but I still thoroughly enjoyed the film. Also, I do not think that Nadine's brother (or his relationship with Nadine's best friend) was developed enough for it to be a major factor in the movie's ending. However, I am sure this was purposeful since the main revelation for Nadine was that she was being selfish and only focusing on her own issues.

I thought it was very funny. There were some words that were problematic and outdated. The storyline was goofy and great. Although, the brother and best friend ending eating pancakes together felt silly. Lots of laughter and cringe moments. A great movie theater experience for friends to watch together.

It was much better and funnier than expected. Hailee Steinfeld was really good although her character can be really annoying sometimes. The teacher and Erwin Kim characters provide much of the comedy and it was great. It was nice to see an Asian man to finally fill a romantic lead role who isn't a martial arts hero :)
