Already an excellent payoff: ties together all the different threads of Season 1 and moves quickly to clarify both character arcs and what's at stake for Middle-Earth. Season 1 was about discoveries; Season 2 is about why those matter. Looking forward to the rest of Season 2!

The best movie ever! I had to get used to Ian not playing in the new films.

Great. Season 1 was slow but this feels like it was action right away and plot moving forward

This season starts with a theme of despair, deception, and doom that is executed powerfully through the very-human flaws of these non-humans, which is the essence of Tolkien's lore. Morfydd Clark's Galadriel leaves the audience guessing the same as her allies: just how affected is she by Sauron? Charlie Vickers portrays a newer version of his character that is still offensively charming and somehow still makes us question his every move, despite knowing Sauron's evil. His performance leaves us simultaneously unsettled and hopeful that his connection to Galadriel was more than just deception.
