I was pleasantly surprised and thought it was a very good movie

Engaging story line, well acted. Moved along well. Somewhat predictable.

First the bad...So there were some inconsistencies in the movie. There was cutting edge technology that was highlighted (e.g., space travel and computers). However, on planet Earth everything was current tech, especially cars. Now the ugly...The thing that bugged me the most was communication. Signals from Earth may take more than 20 minutes to reach Mars. There is NO way that you can have a phone / video conversation.Finally the good...The story may be obvious, and the viewer can pretty much tell you the ending within minutes of the movie starting, but it was beautifully brought to life. Asa Butterfield did an amazing job. I was impressed throughout the movie, especially after he landed on Earth.So the big question every viewer has, Should I see it?The answer is absolutely YES. I would even pay to go see it. It is a VERY good romantic movie with a little sci-fi thrown in.

It was well acted and not the usual shoot them up, crumbling building movie.
