I enjoyed the film. I expected a different ending. IThe end was so weird when we are told who the boy's father is. I thought the best acting Was by the boy's pseudo mom on Venus.

I'm the type of person who LOVES to watch scary movies. I'm also the type of person who has laughed out loud at "sad" or "gory" parts (like Curt's death in The Cabin In The Woods). I usually don't like watching love/discovery stories (especially those revolving around teens), but I really enjoyed this movie! The characters were not your usual ensemble. They were very developed and had diverse backgrounds. The plot moved along very well and at a good pace. It was full of different emotions (excitement, anxiety, sorrow, bravery and, of course, love) but there was no cliche-overload at all. The only reason why I'm giving it four stars is because the big surprise at the end was already apparent (and highly foreshadowed) throughout the movie. I recommend it for anyone (but be prepared for a hint of teen-shoulder-almost-nudity). Go see it!
