The best film of the year so far. Yes, it will be polarizing. But Refn is in full control of his craft. Fanning is superb. A sensory overload of the best kind. I can't wait to see it again, and honestly this review doesn't do it justice, but I need to see it again, and maybe a few more times, before I can really write a solid review. My favorite film of 2016 that will be hard to top. I would LOVE a movie poster of it.

Everything I expected and more from Nicolas Winding Refn. Bravo to everyone who contributed to the film

Shocking and disturbing. Loved it. Nobody comes out looking good in this movie. While most films are very predictable, this one has some plot twists that surprise even the most hardened, cynical film critics.

I loved it. It's pure cinema. Gorgeous and visceral with a pulsating synth soundtrack. It really is a movie to be seen as no one uses color like Nicolas Winding Refn. I love the fact that after "Drive" he hasn't gone more mainstream but rather makes films that are undeniably beautiful yet challenging if not deliberately upsetting. Finally, Jena Malone is equally chilling and compelling as Ruby. Mad Max: Fury Road's Abbey Lee is a standout as well, especially at the end.
