The best final destination film.

This was a great instalment after a 10 year hiatus. It kept true to the spirit of the previous films but the added dimension of a family (and a blended family at that) introduced a lot of nuance, emotion, and surprisingly effective moments of brevity. Some of the best deaths in the series, and great fresh take on the premonition trope this series started. Highlight: Tony Todd and his thoughts on death in the twilight of his film career as a horror icon and of his life. I've had a very stressful day and ironically, this cheered me right up:)

Final Destination: Bloodlines looks like a smart revival—honoring the original’s tension and gore while adding a fresh twist with its generational storyline and dual timeline. It could be the most inventive entry since the early films.
