#PhantomThread plays it "close to the vest" metaphorically & literally, creating a love-obsession Masterpiece. Daniel Day-Lewis Oscar-worthy performance is worth a petition to Bar him from retirement.

Artistically beautiful with every detail of the period meticulously portrayed. Lovely to watch with beautiful music to take us on the journey.

Fascinating characters with dialogue that kept me fully engaged. Daniel Day Lewis is, as usual, outstanding but Vicki Krieps certainly held her own in portraying a strong and determined woman. It was an intelligent look at an eccentric, mentally unstable artist and how those around him pamper and protect him, but also how love allows us to put up with much more in a person than we otherwise would or should. That they clung to such an extreme method of preserving their love is testament both to its strength and to their dysfunctional relationship. Excellent title too.
