I am an older mom of a 15 year old and it hit home for me. i thought Annette Benning was really thoughtful mom trying to do her best. thepart where she said she will never know her son in the real world was very poignant for me. Very good movie overall

Ok movie .. a bit alow

I didn't agree with a lot of what was going on in the living environment and Mom wasn't involved in her son's life, not enough discipline. 3 stars would be more than enough for this movie.

Excellent performances by all. Interesting characters, though Annette Bening's was not particularly likable. A few very strong scenes.
