I am not a fan of horror movies and I expected less horror and more drama, so I was a bit disappointed. The acting was great, and the visuals were pretty good. The plot was coherent and it was definately not just about scarring the audience but I didn't find it engaging enough. I would recommend this film for horror fans, especially for those who like Stephen King.

I would recommend to watch it at home. Its a very long movie. Also i recommend to watch the Shinning before seeing this to have a better understanding.

It is far from being as good as The Shining. But it is well done and entertaining.
