I had no idea what the movie was about. So I do not think i would give it a good rating.my line of work is a lot of what they do in the background. So i did not understand the script and the writers. Or the directors point of view. This time period in the movie is new to me and so I was confused as I never saw the enemy, or the villian. To me a great movie has a Antagonist and a protanganist and someone who is willing to be a best friend. I did see the romance part in the story but it was not elaborated enough for me and the characters confused me as I could not feel their story. Im sure that parts of the story have one liners of written script to make you laugh. Their was a part in the film that was funny but it took a great deal of laughter for me to just get that out. I saw myself reaching for the bar that was near me and wondering when the camera was going to stay off the older actor as british comedy. I do not understand British comedy and would have to live their to signify the humor in that.I kept thinking that I saw Christopher Reeve's son in this film and I kept waiting to see that scene again.

Great acting, but the film needed to take it's own advice from the script: "Cut half." "The American audience won't go for it."Totally over-written.

I was hoping for a comedy.

I thought it had some good likable characters. There were parts of the film I didn't care for but overall I found it enjoyable. The feeling I got form the story was that it is important to keep going when things you have no control over, knock you off your feet. It had a good feminist edge to it too.
