A cookie cutter and formulaic jump-scare madden horror film with some effective humor. The film is poorly directed and paced. The performances are all good but not outstanding. OK, but not on par with The Conjuring films.

If they like those kind of movies I particularly didn't care for it yes the make up was really badd the story was weak. I did not think it was scary.

Not that great, unfortunately. The scares were predictable and not genuine, the writing was very shallow and lacked any substance or scope of danger, the CGI felt rushed (especially the last scene where the evil spirit disintegrates), and the acting was mediocre. It felt more of an educational film about the historical myth of the spirit vs. a genuine horror film from a well-regarded producer.

It was comedically formulaic and nonsensical. Relied heavily on jump scares, which became predictable. Not scary, as I spent too much time questioning character decisions.
