Great to see Frances McDormand. Good cast. The major red herring was the guy who came into the gift shop and we thought he might be the perp but wasn't. I thought that was a cheap shot. If everyone knew the chief was dying of cancer (wife) why did they blame Mildred for his death??? All in all an edge of your seat kind of movie but not 5 stars.

I think Martin McDonough is quite the talented writer. "In Bruges" is one of favorite movies and his other films are all entertaining. I had been anticipating this one for several months and was so disappointed with the overall plot. Even though Rockwell was great in his role, the mix of dark comedy and seriousness of a mother's pursuit for justice did not work for me.
