Violent,unforgiving and revengeful characters. No notion of redemption in anyone. Every character was hateful and unforgiving. Would have left half way thru but my friend inexplicably liked it.

Did you ever see 8mm? This film had the same issue - the “hero” devolved into an anti-hero. Great performance by Frances McDormand, but that couldn’t save it.
