It was very entertaining

Exciting charriot racing, the crucifixtion scene reminiscent of The Passion of the Christ

It was okay

The movie was light on the story (too bad!) and heavy on special effects (again, too bad). The setting was gorgeous, the actors (Jack Huston!!) excellent. The editing often made me queasy and during the fast cutting, I often couldn't tell what was going on. Casting Morgan Freeman as Sheik Ilderim was a huge disaster. Compared to the other actors, he was really miscast and out of his depth.
