Would be unbelievable, if not true. Excellent portrayal by all the actors. Mel is back - stays with you like Braveheart. To quote Gibson "I hate war, but love warriors" Oscar worthy - a must see.

Strong portrayal of a real hero! Very graphic, - amazing cinematography and editing. Music was beautiful; the best music being composed these days is for films.

I thought the film was very good. I have heard it compared to Saving Private Ryan and I understand that comparison after watching it. It is worth watching.

Excellent movie…. I loved the character development and the honor showed on both sides. They showed the soldiers realistically without having any profanity which was refreshing. It illustrated the determination of the Japanese and the war would have continued without the extreme of using the atomic bombs. The love story was obvious and innocent. It was also inspiring to see him.
