it was a cute movie

interesting story

I liked it, but it was too slow for my taste. I was happy I never read the book so I didn't know the end but it was very predictable, I knew she would end up with the sheperd Loved the scenery and costumes, acting was very good, as expected from Cary Mulligan and Michael Sheen.

The story was interesting and was well acted. The characters and the situations in which they found themselves were believable causing you to care about them. The cinematography was excellent and enhanced the experience. Despite these fine qualities, I did not find the film as gripping as I expected it to be although I can't pinpoint what was lacking.
